Gabriel Comerford 2002 – 2006
My time and training at Dance Central lay a solid foundation for my career as a professional dancer, choreographer, educator and mentor.
After leaving Dance Central to study a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at the Queensland University of Technology, I have since gone on to spend the last 15 years working as a professional dancer in a wide range of capacities. I have performed and presented work in theatres and festivals all over Australia and Internationally with a diverse mix of companies and choreographers.
Dance Central and the opportunities afforded to me through my time there, not only set me up with a strong foundation of training but it established for me a way of living and being. It helped me foster a sense of hard work, perseverance, determination and resilience. Most importantly it taught me to create a deep and genuine sense of friendship and family with those around me.
Isobelle Dashwood 2003 – 2012
Dance central has always been not only a thriving business but a place where dreams and passion is nurtured. Dance central gave me the supportive foundation I needed to have the courage to pursue my goals for a career in classical ballet, and now as a soloist in The Australian Ballet Company, I look back at my time there with pride, gratitude and fond memories. Dance central promotes confidence, creativity, love and excellence through its staff and teachers, and the professional manner they use in all that they do. Through their commitment to creating a positive environment for everyone who comes to Dance Central, they have made a hub for the arts and more importantly, a family.”
Laura McCosker – 2005 – 2017
After graduating high school and leaving Dance Central I undertook an Advanced Diploma in Performing Arts (Dance) at the Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts (ACPA) in 2018, working with Bangarra Dance Theatre in some aspects. I am now studying a Bachelor of Design (Interior Architecture) with a minor in Architecture, set to graduate in 2021. My time at Dance Central is incredibly memorable as it acknowledged the power of persistence and resilience (among other things) whilst creating a humbling atmosphere surrounded by support (as one big family).
Thank you for providing such a comfortable environment to grow into the people we all are today.
Taylor Seymour – 2008 – 2017

My time at Dance Central was valuable, educational and above all developed my love for the arts. It allowed me to discover a career I am passionate about and working towards every day. Dance Central provided me with many opportunities for personal and creative development as well as long-term friendships and networks.

Daniel Erbacher – 2015-2018
Currently studying a Bachelor of Musical Theatre – Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University and working as a freelance choreographer. During my time at Dance Central Toowoomba, my passion for Dance and performing was nurtured. I was given many opportunities to take my training and skill set further, whilst also making a group of friends that I will keep for life. I am so grateful for the amazing opportunities that this second home gave me and for the amazing teachers that guided me along the way.
