At Dance Central we believe in providing a broad range of dance skills. Classes are offered in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Acro, Music Theatre, Drama, Ready Set Ballet, Ready Set Dance, Ready Set Acro and Ready Set Move.
- Ready Set Ballet is a 45 minute magical ballet experience for 2- 5 year olds. Twirl our mascot will lead our little dancers through each step of the class as they learn the fundamentals of ballet such as Music, Curriculum, Mimed, Themed Dance all with the use of Props.
- Ready Set Move is an introduction to dance for children aged 12-18 months, all with the security of having a carer in the room! This class is a manageable 45 minutes!
- Ready Set Dance is a combo class of JAZZ, HIP HOP, SINGING and MUSIC and a whole lot of fun!
- Ready Set Acro is a collaborative acrobatic program developed with Industry Leader Acrobatic Arts, specifically designed for preschoolers. It emphasises safe and effective progressions to foster the physical and social skills needed for healthy early childhood development. The program is developed with original music with lyric cues and focuses on three key components: Stretch, Strength, and Skills.
- We utilise the Royal Academy of Dance classical ballet syllabus, which is an internationally recognised training institution with over 250 thousand students worldwide. Students who wish to pursue a career in dance have the option of taking the Vocational Graded Examinations with the RAD. We also have an elite training program for students who show particular talent or dedication within classical ballet.
- Our Southern Federation of Dance jazz and tap syllabus is an Australian syllabus that is constantly updated to retain currency within its’ style.
- Our contemporary, hip hop, music theatre and drama teachers are all professional practitioners within their individual areas, who offer exciting and innovative classes to all students.
- Adults are also catered for – with classes offered in contemporary, ballet and from 2019 “Silver Swans” for those over 50 who wish to commence or revisit their love of ballet.
